The Republic of Ireland did it, back in the day. Contraception was illegal, so was divorce. Women were subject to their husbands financially and physically and psychologically. A child outside of marriage was a scandal for the woman - never the man… that’s how a government regulates sex: by denying all women’s autonomy, and criminalising trans and gay people.
