Yet restorative agriculture, agroforestry and permaculture all produced more food per unit land than industrial agriculture.
The latter produces less per unit land, but it produces an abundance of a profitable crop achieved by pouring petro-chemicals on plants. The numbers are astonishing because it's something like 10 fossil fuel calories bring one food calorie to table.
Agroforestry restores the biome responsible for a temperate climate.

By the way, it is my dearest hope that the Jewish public in New York rallies around Mamdani to repudiate this horrifying instance of conservative establishment terrorism.
There are many other orthodox streams of Judaism, who are scripture in morally opposed to Israel and especially its conduct.
I would like to suggest to rename the Republicans the conservative establishment. They are the conservative establishment. Not extremist, but bread and butter conservatism.

Nobody elected Musk to be in charge of the budget, and going to slash 1/3 of all the money that spent into the economy that flows through businesses and into your paycheck and into your bank account.

We should take the opportunity if it can be called that, to restructure our own lives as Trump inflicts tariffs on all of us.
Because what it’s going to mean is all those big box stores will take the opportunity to shake us down for even more money, on top of whatever price increases imposed on them.
Now is a good time to form clubs to grow food and find ways to enjoy life outside the grasp a big corporations.
It is perfect incentive to quit the modern economy.

Earlier this year, BBC labs reported on their experience with their own mastodon server. I commented on their experience in the following video. The description has links to all the relevant articles if you’re at all interested. When you surrender access to your audience through a second party, you become dependent on them, utterly.

It's cultural anthropology's main subject. Largely I agree with your sentiment, but realistically nomenclature is a product of a conversation within a social group.
Every profession ends up doing so. It's how we get slang and so on.
Awareness of that reality is a survival skill. It's in that light I posited the original question, to suss how people define and reason with certain concepts.

no, I simply work from a reasonable foundation in (cultural) anthropology, where human societies are the subject of the discipline. That area has a *lot* to say on the topic.

I would presume people would pay a tax and the burning was punishment for not complying. Ultimately, destroying property is counterproductive, and a measure of mercenary - merchantile - ethic.
There's a distinction here. I will point out that extracting tribute millennia old. 4000BC old etc.
