If I am considering a man, I still sometimes ask myself is he attractive bc I think he may provide security, & if the answer is yes, I feel it’s the wrong answer. Because it’s about connection, shared values, goals, walking in the same direction, enjoying each other without fear being the foundation. I won’t settle for just an illusion of love or care as ‘safety’ born of fear created by men & that is more often than not completely broken by men…
