I look forward to the post capitalist days when I can go outside and enjoy the green shaded paths, and graze from the abundance on trees and bushes at will, watch all the colorful birds, and meet up at the local makerspace, skillshare, tool and appliance library, repair cafe, music, art studios & gallery and performance space, farmers market, coop greenhouse & solar powered food trucks in former parking lots, gardens, flea markets, etc. that took over a former mall.

Wexner smiles with duper’s delight every time he lies and thinks he did a good job in his testimony feigning ignorance. You can tell he enjoys lying and manipulating people a lot. North America especially is making every wrong move with tech and managing resources for sustainability. I’m glad we (Canada) are finally getting Chinese EVs, & I hope we shift from lithium to sodium ion batteries as China is doing, as that seems both wiser, more sustainable, less mining, cheaper…all around better. China is making sustainable decisions to maintain itself as a superpower. They banned crypto too. They made AI far less energy intensive. They are smarter strategically.

Ro Khanna states (at 4:00) that the only possible reason to redact these pedophiles names is to “protect them from embarrassment “ which is a disingenuous framing, I hope. Because if that’s the only risk to them, then he is announcing this is a farce. It’s only embarrassment they are facing? Not prosecution. Not jail. Not accountability.

some companies are more sincere than others. It’s not a great metric because it can be rigged in favor large corporations doing the least at the expense of small corporations doing the most.
I was very disappointed and disillusioned by the program certification process.
You can still register your business as a Benefit corporation without paying for their ‘approval’.

Having started the BCorp accreditation process a few years ago for my own business, it’s bullshit how it’s metrics are ranked and because of that corporations can get away with a lot while calling themselves a benefit corporation, and if really are doing well, but aren’t huge, are penalized. It’s pay to play & it’s PRwash mostly.

I have a cousin that is deathly allergic in the tiniest amounts to milk & eggs. She has baked the most amazing desserts, cakes, for her kids using neither.

I have so many concerns including privacy rights, palantir in Canada, especially in healthcare, but having more ODSP at a livable amount and more subsidized housing, would be great. They also can’t be destroying encampments without providing safe & compassionate alternatives.
I think for any protest to be effective and worth the risks, it must be focused and come with demands & solutions to be asked for and met.

I couldn’t believe so many people went so quickly over to Bluesky without hesitation.
They keep trying to find safety & community in corporations & some of the greediest & uncaring capitalists.
It’s so codependent.

When I was in bed disabled for ~ 3 years in pain, I had to find a way to happiness even though there was no end in sight. I’d been reading sexy romance stories bc they didn’t disrupt my sleep or stress me out. There was a comfort in them, I could rely on. Love would win. There’d be caring. It was wholesome, and the best writers were fun to read. I always loved writing, & could do it from bed, so started writing romance. As I wrote & laughed, felt joy, my back started healing.

you can’t eat them (they are turkey tail btw) but I add them to soups or stews, like bay leaves, to extract the benefits. It’s known to be good for cancer recovery, boost immunity. It’s approved in Japan as part of cancer treatment. High in antioxidants.
That same log will keep producing them in right conditions, so remember where you find them. the ones you found are perfect: fresh with white undersides. Soak & wash them to get rid of bugs etc. then dry & store to use later.

Older men are purposely indoctrinating younger men to be red pilled and hate women to take younger and more appropriate aged men out of their competition. The bad behavior is being taught to young men by older men. It’s a tactic for older men to get access to inappropriate and more easily manipulated younger women. This is not a good thing.

On top of our better & high performing work in workplaces, where we are paid less than the most mediocre of male counterparts, women contribute over 3.6 TRILLION dollars in unpaid & unrecognized labor doing home, child, senior care PER YEAR in US alone.
Men have never contributed this labor freely, if at all.
$3.6 trillion. 1.67 million women in US.
That is per US woman, over $22,000 dollars per year taken from her in unpaid labor she doesn’t profit from, but men do.

I think people are extremely unaware about the level of surveillance and harassment that occurs when you actually go up against any large power structure. It’s a lot, and only in recent years are people talking about it openly, but for the most part, people do not understand or believe and think you are ‘overreacting’ ‘paranoid delusional’ or just making it up. When usually you barely mention it because no one would believe you if you told them.

I also saw the coolest insect, one I’ve never seen before. I ID’d it as a Katydid. A Green Leaf Bug. As it flew it looked like a huge clumsy green fairy, with long legs. It landed on the grass right in front of me, and some big dogs, but I got one of the dog owners to get it, to protect it, and at first he thought I was bullshitting him because it just looked exactly like a leaf, but he picked it up & had it sitting on his finger a while. Its wings perfectly mimicked a leaf. So cool.
