A lot of (but not all)* Fedi meta is effectively modern-day witch hunts, and more often than not akin to personal vendettas perpetuated by [cry-bullies](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/crybully ) Internet investigators driven by strong opinions and fuelled by their own heavily filtered and censored echo-chambers is not an attractive feature of this platform. It's one of our biggest flaws.
This is regardless of whether the complaint is accurate, factual, or it being something people in general actually care about. If people did *a fraction* of what they're accused of on fedi, they would be serving prison sentences, not writing meta posts.
I can't help but see the parallels from a lot of the discussions about 'meta' (rumours) and the way teenagers communicate in the halls of a high school. It's just so immature.
