Looking them up on Bing images, I get a mixed bag. Some look more European than others. Some look straight up like pajeets. A couple looked like anti-Semitic cartoons.
But some seemed to have light eyes and brown (not black) hair.
Remember: the Byzantine empire is to blame for funneling gypsies into Europe.
