What he said was that Britain kept the war going through deliberately bombing civilians, despite not having the means to actually invade the continent.
Warsaw and Rotterdam came before, but happened during actual fighting in the regions, which doesn't make bombing civilians better.

The idea of a people living in tribal structures over a vast area having an identical pantheon like if there were a pagan pope promoting it is bullshit.
I guess most gods and their modes of worship were rather local. People of common ancestry probably had some overarching myths that were vaguely recognizable, but still differed greatly.
On the other hand, celts and germans were completely different people as an example, while both being more or less native to Europe.
Most modern pagans don't want to find their own spirituality rooted in nature, but build a replica of the Ronan Catholic church with Odin/Wotan on top.

Actually I find the "only democracy in the middle east" more tiresome.
A country that rules over millions without giving them political participation is not a democracy in the modern sense.
Israel could leave the west bank - that would be according to international law.
They could also annex it and make it an official part of Israel - that would be less law-abiding, but maybe based in reality. But then all the people living there would have to be treated as full citizens.
What they're doing at the moment is occupying the land and keeping the people as "helots" subject to random acts of violence by citizens at any time.
So Israel isn't any more democratic than ancient Sparta.

Since WWII every subsequent generation had more material wealth to start with, but less chances to succeed on their own.
An intelligent boomer could attend college for peanuts and land a high paying job, because there were only few graduates then.
Today every retard goes to college, so tuition is expensive and graduates have to drive ubers or become baristas.
