I would not be shocked at all if unemployment doesn’t budge much. We still haven’t backfilled the 3/4 of a million people covid has taken out of the workforce through death or disability in the past 5 years.

Eventually I’m going to be wrong here but they seem to keep trying the same tricks to crash the economy for no reason that used to work but just don’t anymore. I have not kept up with industry and demographic hiring trends for a while though.

I figured tariffs would be the nuclear option but Trump keeps chickening out on actually enforcing the ones that would matter.
