I'm the same. It helped me realize there was a corner of California I'd never seen so we took a family road trip for several days through there back in 2006.

Much of the fun of geocaching is exploring and seeing interesting locations, to me anyway. My philosophy with places caches has always been that the location or the cache *has* to be interesting, or both.
