I know a bunch of guys in their 50's and 60's who run a lug over matrix that get mad when I shit on Plex because they spent money on lifetime licenses, they got swallowed by sunk cost, what a strange hill to die on. Never considered your legal point, but they get all their stuff over obscure usenet piracy servers and you're right, those guys will be the first if it does get traced back to them.
