I dunno, mass revolt is hard to counter. You're talking about a small militia or a few preppers. If the whoie populace rises up, it's not a fantasy.

It's rare...but they can't bomb everyone. And I know they have tried (Syria, Gaza) - there is a point where they have to destroy everything and it's a zero sum game...cos nothing is left.

Which they might do, but then no-one runs their factories, no-one buys their products, no-one exists for their propaganda...doing it abroad or in another place is one thing, but never good to shit where you sleep.
