So, I'd ask in that case, how they got there?
We can look at the two most recent examples?
Blockade
Haiti?
Forced to pay France reparations for the loss of slaves and the US stole their money.
NK, Iran
Blockade (and a "war" in Iran)
Not sure if you've seen either China or Vietnam lately. And, honestly, I'd ask who's reporting human rights violations (especially with *gestures wildly*)
And, Russia is still the US' punching bag since the Cold War.
But, yeah...

This neoliberal talking point has to stop.
Y'all need to stop blaming the voters for your candidates' shit policies.
Candidates are supposed to earn the vote of the voter, not the other way around.
The voters owe the candidates nothing.
It's 2026! Get over the Dems losing because of their shitty as platform and actually start advocated for something better.
If anything, progressives will just hold the line as moderates (conservatives) and conservatives (MAGA) keep trying to push us right.

White supremacy is foundational to colonial superpowers; the legacy of which lives on. The only real remedy for the brutalities of slavery is reparations – and a new system that prevents these atrocities from ever taking place again!

2026-03-26 01:10:03 UTC

It's no coincidence that the U.S., Israel and Argentina, as three entirely repressive regimes, have voted against condemning the trafficking of enslaved Africans and acknowledging the lasting impacts of slavery –– and that every country responsible for the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade has abstained from the vote entirely.

Also, to say that AI is a de-skilling people comes off as kind of wrong to me.
Now, I'm not saying that people generating art and children's stories and topics of discussion at a dinner table is a good thing.
That's fucking horrible and dystopian.
But to say that people using AI tools is "de-skilling" them when they may need a little more organizational help, task management help, feels icky to me.
Using these tools with Obsidian has helped me organize my thoughts so much.

I had a realization today.
The more I color outside of the lines of US societal norms (communism, leftist gun ownership, etc.), the more I think that the way people view what's "normal" is used to control us.
And I mean outside of the obvious.
Like, how liberals think that gun owners are all crazed lunatics and how Global North countries look at the US because of our situation.
Or how caring for Cuba is supposed to make you a pariah.

The system wants you to focus all your attention on one man (or a group of individuals) instead of the system itself.
For as long as you attack and tear down those individual people, the system will have enough time to rebuild itself.
If you attack the system, all those who participated and benefitted from said system will fall, too.
Having typed that, I see why so many people are interested in fighting and destroying the system.

It still doesn't change the fact that the material conditions for millions of people within the US have been living under incredible hardships.
Just because “collectively" it may not look bad, especially when talking heads say it, the story isn't the same where it really counts, in the pockets of hard working people who don't have enough to live on.
And this is from someone who just got a job a month ago.

Yes, because this man in particular has enabled policies that have killed thousands upon thousands of people who also had families.
To say that one person who has exploited the working class is finally off the face of this earth is a great thing for the 99% of us.
So, just like monarchs, we will continue to celebrate the removal of people who have done irreparable harm to society.
