when the new data center went online this last month our electric bill went from $110 to $250. Our water bill went from $30 to $60. I don't know how we're going to afford this in my household long term as my "cost of living" raise only added $100 a month pre-tax starting next month and we're already living paycheck to paycheck.
There are 2 more data centers scheduled to go online this year in my area. We're fucked.
