If Israeli settlers ever fully move into Gaza & build it up nice over the corpses of the dead & try to pretend it was always that way, I'm never going to join them in that pretense & let "the past" die, & that is one of the reasons I can't live with the myths of the US anymore.
I can't participate in this anymore. I can't tell the false stories. To accept the lies, the erasure of the past, is to become a participant in the present day violence.
