I'm not sure now. I'm probably going to pause my migration from gmail to proton until I figure something else out. Fastmail seems less problematic, but will probably review some of the other options listed at https://www.optoutproject.net/secure-email/. I'm also not sure I need Proton's level of privacy (tho the more the better and certainly want better than gmail). I had looked at mailfence but it seemed built for techy nerds (I am to a degree, but don't want my email designed that way).
