either that or she linked up with that skull was what I thought. Honestly Demerzel is definitely the character I am most invested in though, so for her to just quickly go out like that in what seemed like a pretty illogical scenario was a bummer. I do think she'll be back though so I won't be too upset about it yet.
The Mule "plot twist" was the most annoying part to me. It just isn't satisfying in retrospect. There aren't many pieces to connect to in previous episodes, and that whole farmer kid backstory in the other episode wasn't presented in the show by an unreliable narrator, it was just straight-up an aside in the show the writers told that simply never happened.
Anyways yeah I still like the show lol

If you frequently switch between security levels in Tor Browser (or Mullvad Browser!), make sure you are fully restarting the browser every time, otherwise you could still unexpectedly have dangerous JS features enabled!
This requirement is not publicly documented anywhere. Hopefully @npub1vwv…cqgs will add a prompt to restart after modifying this setting in a future Tor Browser release.

I love the interpretation that because Firefox's terms of use says your use of Firefox now "must follow Mozilla’s Acceptable Use Policy", and their AUP says you may not "download [...] content that includes graphic depictions of sexuality or violence," it means you can no longer use Firefox to access pornography 😆

This is not a win for privacy, this is a massive loss for all Americans as the country descends into the internet censorship that has plagued so many of the other unfree countries around the world.
It isn't the time to act smug or superior just because that censorship happened to target an app you disliked today. They will have no problems coming for the services you do like tomorrow.

Okay, lots of talk about Mozilla becoming an ad company (ew). Out of curiosity, *approximately* how much would you honestly pay for an open-source, privacy-respecting, bloat-free web browser?
Something like Firefox, if you knew your money was 100% going towards Firefox development and not the pockets of Mozilla execs or their Pocket/AI/AdTech side ventures.

hmm okay. First thing seems like a big problem (which I haven’t seen a single mention of this week, but maybe I missed it lol) that I’d imagine is true, since I don’t think I’ve seen anything quite as nice as macOS’s setup process in the Linux world in terms of accessibility options 😔
Second thing (which is the only thing I’ve seen many paragraphs of threads about) seems like people assuming the worst for no reason whatsoever. So, just classic internet drama I guess?

Say what you will about the US government, but at least is it pretty easy to:
1. Find out who is elected, how they were elected, where they’re from
2. Generally find media coverage about federal laws being proposed
The more I read about the #EU and things like #ChatControl, the more I wonder how Europeans can accept this technocratic system that seems (almost?) intentionally designed mainly to shield national governments from the blame of their own bad decision-making.

Really the only thing I can think of that currently exists and comes close to #ChatControl is North Korea's OS, which scans every file on the computer for certain keywords... and the fact that this comparison is being made at all is very problematic.
