Don't get me wrong, I agree that the current generation is not likely to change and we probably need to use some level of state force to prevent total corruption and collapse. However, I also do think that the most effective approach for long-term success is through future generations moreso than us, so that's why I think the ideal combo would be SOME state intervention while also raising future generations in the Way.

And I agree entirely: I'm all for limited government, particularly limited federal government, as I believe the real glory and power of the USA is the idea of sovereign states united under one banner, one government and one ideology. That said, I don't want to abolish the federal government entirely because, like you said, it does have some role to play.

You're right about the mind-altering things but even then, libertarians and many others want to do away with those laws too because "the drug war has been a disaster". I'd like to see them tell that to someone whose child died of an unintentional fentanyl poisoning, but they won't because they argue that "if we had fewer laws on drugs, they could buy from better sources" (something that makes little to no sense given how drug cartels operate).

I agree entirely about the shaming, the Bible supports that too. Those who repent or want to get away from their sin, they should be treated with compassion but the ones who sin unrepentant are given to reprobate minds and we need to make it clear to young people that they are nothing to be admired!
