Just to clarify, it wasn't you that I bought it from. It was @nprofile…6psx. They never responded to my email. But it's okay, I fixed it. It was indeed a faulty PSU. I bought an Alitove 12v PSU to replace it and everything's been fine since then. No more errors. The miner's even stopped overheating.

People are shocked to see images of paper notes dumped in the streets of countries experiencing hyperinflation. But even in relatively stable countries like the US, we see the same done with coins all the time.
Coins are actively dumped or abandoned, passively forgotten or lost, everywhere, constantly. Left in carts at supermarkets, at self-checkout registers, at rest areas along highways, in the pockets of jeans, on sidewalks, down the sides of sofas.
Everyone already knows the money is trash.

A personally tailored algorithm seems like a nice idea. Not an algorithm designed to manipulate, but an algorithm designed to genuinely enhance user experience.

I've watched a few videos on it, and you're right, PSA is absurd. In fact, I think it's one of the main things that turns people away from Christianity. It's an oversimplification of a theologically complex issue.

Well, people often keep these sorts of thoughts private, so just because you've never heard someone voice the thought, it doesn't mean they haven't had it.
The Antiochian parish I've been visiting passes around an open basket, so the notes are on full display.
There's obviously different levels to this. Varying degrees of tastelessness in my mind. An offering basket at the entrance is nowhere near as bad (it doesn't interrupt the sacredness of the service); an offering basket passed around once the proceedings conclude is also not as bad (again, the sacredness of the service is preserved), but I still think there are better ways. The OCA parish I've been visiting doesn't do either and seems to be thriving.
Why does your parish insist on attaching your name to payments? Does it not trust you to do the right thing without surveillance?
As I said, I'm quite keen to tithe as soon as I settle on a parish I can call home. But ironically, the parish that's being more pushy with the tithing is likely the one I'll turn away from.
I'm inclined to give more generously when not prompted to do so.

I'm not sure there needs to be a specific time set aside for it. Just have an easy way to donate small and/or large payments that's always available. People can be reminded of this in appropriate settings: casual gatherings, newsletters, etc.
Bitcoin and Lightning would serve this need well.
That's not necessarily going to be 100% anonymous, but I think it's close enough.

Passing a collection plate around during liturgy seems extremely distasteful to me.
I understand that we're called to tithe and I'm keen to do so. However, making a public display of it seems gross and it subtly shames people who can't currently afford to tithe.
I feel like all tithing should be done anonymously.
"But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth."
Matthew 6:3 seems to support this position.
Am I missing something here?

Yes, exactly. The long-term fix is for the non-degenerates to have way more children than the degenerates (which appears to be happening) and for the non-degenerates to instil values in the new wave of children that stick and are passed down.
How long will it take for us to see the fruits of our labor writ large, though? Some decades presumably. Until then, I'd be in favor of some force to curb the freefall we're in.

For a while I felt like the culture war could be won through a mere changing of minds, convincing people of the error of their ways and getting them willingly on board with a new cause, but I'm starting to think otherwise. There needs to be some force behind this change.
While I have plenty of misgivings about the state, I do believe it has *some* role to play in society, and the vision you're laying out could be a good implementation of that role.
Porn should be outlawed (we outlaw other mind-altering and life destroying things, so I don't see much difference).
At the very least, we need to start openly shaming people again. Mocking them. Ridiculing them. Loudly. They've been made to feel too safe for too long in their pathetic little addiction.
