2. the fediverse doesn't work if it's based on the top-down model of charities. charity is a trickle down economics without the fascist business suits.
for real federation we need people to own the instances they are in. if not they run the risk of ending up like USA southern states where residents are just living in an open prison.
the fediverse should be predicated on users owning the means of their social media production.
