I keep it to our universe companions and friends we share our existence with, because I don't want to explain everything if anything and most people can check on this animals simply by browsing for it.
Kira a Raven.
Arkham probably an Octopus.
Ashlei would be a Rat.
What all of them have in common?
Intelligence, social and personal, move excellent in their environment and are highly adaptive to their surroundings and what is needed to survive.
