In the 2024 mayoral election, #Burnham was elected for a third term with 63.4% of the vote. Burnham won in every ward but one.
BBC are currently saying turnout may be as high as 65%…that’s historic for a byelection compared to the general election turnout in Makerfield (55%).
This high turnout could still be in Reform’s favour though…are we seeing those occasional come out of the woodwork voters who came out for Brexit voters?
