I agree that Kropotkin's idea has merit, but i don't know how it could be applied in practice. I think that after taking the means of production and the lands (which is a an aim that marxists and many anarchists shared), we should not try to replace state power with a new ruling class. Instead, we should shut down all the polluting infrastructures, establish equal self-management of workers in factories, fields, and every workplace, and direct democracy with consensual methods in the municipalities, where decisions would be made collectively and equally, for every municipal area, on what to produce, how and how much, in the workplaces, and what to exchange with other municipalities, and shoot anyone who tried to impose their will with physical violence in these contexts, and maybe even force those engineers who could but may not want to do some work in some of the most menial jobs with the threat of violence - maybe this would be the only way to put in practice that idea of Kropotkin's.
