In high school, I had a teacher that was a former hippy for an English course called Communications. She spent the better part of the year teaching us about advertising, political advertising and more importantly, subliminal advertising.

Ever after, I had a really cynical view on it all and eventually, like you, got rid of the tv.

I wish the world had been in that class.
