Cool! I enjoy drabbles a lot too, they're tough to write but well worth it.
We get, in my writing group, weekly prompts and most of them are drabble-length or 200 words max. It's really good fun. And I get to expand on that text, just like you say, it's motivational and can be the basis for longer material.
Feedback is also a bonus. Seems that we are part of similar groups!
