Hiking Stiletto Park part 3. The trail follows a creek valley for a couple miles then begins to switchback up the mountain and we get a first glimpse of a view. Photo 2: I see a lot of hemlock trees with this syndrome-- loss of foliage and strange web like stuff. I'm guessing this is a kind of adelgid, a tiny invasive insect that is devastating Eastern hemlocks elsewhere in the continent. If anyone knows please tell.
