I don't spray roses after pruning. I just make sure to pick up all the dead leaves etc around the base.
We have local Tauhou in spring that regularly eat any aphids on the roses, so I don't need to worry about them. In autumn I do get some fungal problems on the roses, so I use Yates Nature's Way Fungal spray if it gets super bad.
