what the belief structure isn't the important part. the religious experience happens in the heart of the believer.
there are general similarities in religious experience across belief systems. Individuals generally practice diligence, discipline, commending themselves to a higher power etc.
but the "religion" is in the heart of the person, not the church.

for example, I do know scientologists and it is indeed full of shit.
but as with all religions, there a few believers that it has honestly worked for. ie, they have had genuine religious experiences practicing it.
I would never *recommend it, but if someone experienced tells me it was successful for them I don't judge.

99% of everything is a shitcoin designed to steal your time and money. modern Christianity isn't any different.
Anybody telling you they have exclusive access to True Religion™ isn't any different.
