It's not that cities are bad and suburbs are good, it's poor urban design. As a parent of a child who is fully disabled and uses a wheelchair, navigating the outside world SUCKS. Supporting people with mobility differences is an afterthought, if at all. Scalable systems-based solutions based on universal design are what's needed. Solutions proposed in this thread, like ending cars and cities are unrealistic and just as ableist.
