Yeah! I bought a programming cable and watched a couple of videos on the CHIRP software and was surprised how easy it was. It was confusing at first but once you know what everything does it's actually pretty easy.
I haven't messed with it in probably two years but I would like to try it again and see if I can hit a local repeater for further reach. I haven't tried that yet.
