Most branches of science seem to require objective, empirical evidence. Biology, chemistry , etc, reality either behaves in a certain way or get a better theory.
Anything which only requires proofs on paper isn't really science in my possibly arrogant opinion. Social "science" is probably the worst offender in this category, with its critical race theory and 99 genders and all the rest of it
