If you actually wanted to shave off voters from Republicans, you would target the people who feel disenfranchised & betrayed by politicians who *promised* that they were on their side & then went & made a fortune in stocks & crypto while destroying their own voters' quality of life.
This whole "leaning rightward" thing is not calculated to win those people over, even though that is OBVIOUSLY the weak spot in the Republican voting base. Offering more of the status quo isn't fucking appealing.
