It could well be argued that Jordan Neely's life was worth *more* than the CEO's, as while very few people opt to be homeless, the CEO's decision on where to go with his life and his copious opportunities led to the deaths of thousands upon thousands of people. Given a chance, Neely may have helped many folks; the CEO, given that chance, did the opposite.
The acquittal of Neely's murderer yesterday shows what a shambles the court system is in terms of racism, ableism, and the criminalization of being poor.
