You're one of the most sincere Christians on here and I think you're a lovely person who people can learn a lot from, but the KJV is really not the gold standard for understanding Scripture. Ignoring obvious verses like Luke 1:28 which have been studied to death, the KJV simply doesn't have any objective standing to claim supremacy over other texts. We can have debates about the Masoretic texts and Textus Receptus, but I think the KJV focus is kind of off-putting for those who speak modern English, ignoring how parts of it are simply not translated well.
I know we disagree on some doctrines but I think there is probably some value in agreeing on either a common interpretation or the allowance of varied translations. I know the KJV has a strong hold in American Protestant tradition but there are faults. I don't think it's worthless or invalid, but there are too many issues with it to insist that we simply stick with that translation without a good reason. I'm happy to use the KJV as long as I'm being critical of the translation, but to say it should be taken literally by all Christians invites scandal once they crack open the history of manuscripts or get challenged by Christians with scholarly backgrounds.
