Last Notes
Not a bad start to the day, I'm caffeinated and fed, time for a slow stroll to church, then onward. Why can't all days be this simple?
The stereotypes exist for a reason 😂 we are what we are 🍻
True. I guess we've got to take our wins where we can find them
True. Wimbledon too. Where's this global warming they keep promising us?
I'm 25% Italian, apparently. I'm definitely not built for this shit.
The coffee is on the house, their card machine is down and they don't take bitcoin 😂

We havent even had spring yet, it's just been winter, since October
Guy's a legend 😂🍻 proper old school English gent 👍
GM #nostr ⛵️☕️🙏🥳
Bit of a grim one this morning, tbh, but it's June so I'm sitting outside for my coffee, regardless 😅

Realistically, we still have pubs, not as many as we did - plenty of people still meet and talk directly. Obviously saying things online these days can easily illicit a response from plod, but pretty generally you've got to be interacting with leftists to get reported, so it's not too difficult to simply ignore them most of the time.
I don't have any stats but I know there's a few of us here representing, because I interact with them regularly. They're easy to spot from Americans because they spell things properly 🍻😉
Completely pointless spin, but did add a touch of style to the performance. 7/10.
I'm think going to experiment with that in Plume
'Interactors' makes more sense but sounds clumsy. All the followers in the world mean nothing if you're never getting a single interaction. As it stands I get more interaction here the the book of faces or twitter.
Interesting quote. I can see it, too.

Yeah, I get the point of the post, but until they take their gangsters back, fuck'em.
3 businesses in 1 - a rocket ship company (who wouldn't want to own part of a rocket?!) - a global Internet company, which is going to be huge, I reckon and cheaper once Amazon start their offering - plus an AI company which is already raking money from other AI providers. Sounds like a bargain at $130 per share, especially given we know fiat currency is going to continue to be debased without mercy.
Are you sure? If you'd brought Tesla stock in the beginning you'd be laughing now. I reckon anyone holding it for the next 10/20 years is likely going to be laughing.
I've got no sympathy for a country which exported most of its gangsters to the UK.
I'm back, after breaking my 26 streak, this is how it's done 🥳🍻

Shame that Kier Starmer Granny Harmer sent a bunch of Labour activists to assist Kamala in the US election. He should learn to shut his mouth.
GM #nostr - I'll begin today with a very British observation;
Why is it that the climate nutters only get their panties in a bunch and start screeching when it's a warm sunny day.
On an unseasonably cold, rainy, windy June day like today, they've got nothing to say.
Slightest hint of people feeling good and the doom mongers screech.
Fun sponges.
Just seen episode 1 of Spider Noir, really quite impressed, opted to watch the black and white version, since it's more true to the original comic. Better than I expected.
Just got to find what you're in to - I find football incredibly boring to watch, almost as bad as golf or cricket, but MMA and boxing are awesome, especially when there's blood, in my humble opinion 😀
Yeah, it can be found here:

You'll have to excuse the dodgy version numbering, it's my first time using github, and I'm building it all with Claude. I wouldn't have a clue what I'm up to otherwise.
Yeah - when my grandad passed back in Feb I saw my cousin set up a memorial page at the funeral directors website, struck me as really cool, but ruggable - it's free, so they're under no obligation to keep it running. I want my decendents to have access to the photos and stories about my grandparents etc, amd I want them to be able to own it.
Put phone in wrong pocket.
Had heart attack.
Quite enough excitement for one day, I think...
Adding the WebRTC bit to Chronicle. Gonna be fun.
Later on, as well as P2P connections, I'll include shared family relay hosting through the app, as it'll give them benefits like offline comms, offline sync and backups.
I don't think I'll want to do all that myself though, still probably look for someone to collaborate with to provide that service.
Previously I mainly used Plume for checking out the 'other stuff' that people do on #nostr - it's what it's built for and it works reasonably well.
More recently though, I'm having to use it just to see who's posting via #Amethyst because this is what I see for most people's profiles, most of the time now;

I wonder if they were celebrating handcuffing a man who'd been stabbed to death like this?

Gotta be honest, I preferred when the music that appeared on #nostr was independent artists sharing their music in the hopes people will pick up on it, love it and they might get paid.
Now it's drowned in other people's music, uploaded by nostr users with no connection to the original artists and the indi stuff is getting drowned out.
Another great opportunity lost, imo.
He wouldn't give a fuck about musk if musk hadn't brought twitter. It's the access to information that he hates more than what musk has to say.
It reminds of of when macron had a black eye recently then people shared images showing loads of the 'elites' always with the same eye bruised.
Well, if she can handle you at your worst...
Thankyou, last time I needed these sorts of drugs, years ago, I never really suffered withdrawals, so far as I can remember. This is grim.
Is it that time of year again?
Luckily I've not needed morphine for a dozen years, but I well remember how grim it is. Mike, kidney stones? You have my condolences- one of the few times in life it's acceptable for a grown man to cry. Luckily I've not had that issue...so far.
Yeah, I've got to make sure the managers at the fiat mine are aware as well or they'll start asking questions
Hopefully people will get more creative in finding ways to survive and thrive in these challenging times.
Encountering an unusual problem today....
Over the last 6 months, due to injuries and illness, I've been on a fairly regular dose of opioid based pain relief.
Things are getting much better. I've needed 1 pill in 4 days to manage the pain.
However, I'm staring at my computer and struggling to work today. I don't feel ill, it's just total brain fog, which turns out to be a side effect of stopping opiods that I've not experienced before.
I feel like I need a gazillion spoons of coffee in a mug with a single drop of water.
Smart move, for the longer term. Best of luck with it.
This is brilliant, another step towards building something long term on the #nostr protocol. I just reposted Hodlbod's post about selling community relays, another sensible idea. We're getting there.

If inflation carries on at the rate that it is, it's soon going to affect how much I'm able to stack each month. There's going to be millions of people, choosing between paying bills and putting something aside for the future. I'm currently quite fortunate, I suppose, but my circumstances could change, rapidly. Definitely tough times.
If you overslept then you needed it - definitely throws you off though, when it happens, doesn't it?
Another 2% rise in the cost of my regular breakfast, just a few short months after the last rise. More to come. Inflation is theft.
