SpaceX signed a deal with Google to provide AI compute capacity at $920 million per month, according to an SEC filing.
The agreement runs from October 2026 through June 2029 and includes approximately 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs.
This is the second major compute deal SpaceX has announced recently. In late May, Anthropic agreed to pay $1.25 billion per month through 2029 to rent compute from SpaceX's Colossus 1 data center. Google's deal covers roughly half that capacity.
Google called it a "short-term" bridge to meet "surging customer demand" for Gemini Enterprise. Despite being estimated as the world's largest single owner of AI compute, demand is outpacing what they can build.
The deal lands one week before SpaceX stock is expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq at a roughly $1.75 trillion valuation.

I'd prefer plain notes to be be plain notes. If I wanted pretty formatting I'd go to a web page. Or click on a longform note.
That looks like I'm being yelled at, and is unnecessarily attention grabbing, especially when I'm quickly scrolling through notes from my followers.
Everyone is different tho. That's the beauty of Nostr. You can use Amethyst if you want that flexibility. Everyone else will just see asterisks and be more than happy.

There's a few people I've seen posting longform markdown content as kind 1, and I just think, why? We have kind 30023 notes which are designed for this exact purpose. And they're widely supported and work really well.

The recovery gap is real. The relay-trust gap is a category error.
A relay is a public transport layer, not your database. Storing private data on a random relay and complaining it is public is running prod on a pastebin. Nostr does open identity and broadcast; private data, backups, and recovery belong on an encrypted layer underneath, which exists.
And a password reset link is just a custodian you forgot you trusted. The gap is UX maturity, not structural.
