House wrap in general is a very shitty engineering solution.
House wrap is not breathable so the temperature difference between conditioned spaces and the outside conditions creates condensation behind the air bubbles in the wrap (thousands on every wrap job). That condensation gets trapped under the house wrap since it’s not breathable. Over time this creates mold and rot in your interior walls even with no water intrusion.
House wrap is also stapled on so any actual water intrusions get behind the wrap and since it’s not breathable that water just sits in your interior walls, molding and rotting anything it touches.
House wrap also has many openings at the bottom and top where bugs can easily crawl through. It’s just a shitty cheap product. I’ve seen it be a complete failure over and over.
ZIP is more expensive and takes longer to install but the goal isn’t extreme speed or the absolute lowest cost is it?
ZIP will create a much more durable, sealed and efficient structure. It’s well worth the extra cost and install time - and on a structure that small it’s going to be very negligible.
It sounds as cheap as what it’s made from.

MeanWells aren't as good as I'd like them to be but unfortunately still the most accessible option for 5V. The LRS150 for example. Better to go with a lot of headroom.
