In the end it is a majority vote. No one says that reason will win. š
Why are you really asking this? Are you actually hoping to come out with an understanding of: "Ah actually humanity was so stupid to start with the whole vaxxing in the first place š¤
Because there Were no substantial health problems before vaxines emerged. So probably they are useless and just some way for big corps to make money out of thin air..."
We have to be real. Truth does not care much about our opinions. And Truth will not more one bit, when the majority started to belief vaxxing is stupid.
In parts of high ani-vaxxer rates illnesses returned, that were erradecated for decades. But for sure this is a simple coincidence.
I really am not one of the people that would argue, that every opinion has the same value.
I think there is so much simple false statements, which do not even deserve to be countered š

I think yea. The hitman is absolutely violating the NAP, but you arenāt. Youāre doing something else that Iām pretty sure would get you ostracized or penalized in any Ancapistan, just like trespassing and contract violation isnāt a NAP transgression, but is (voluntarily) agreed to be verboten anyway.
Itās not just āpreserves NAP: okay; violates NAP: not okayā. latter, yes. former⦠depends on the community and their norms and agreements. If you squint the right way, āhitmanā or at least ācontract enforcerā is basically an expected piece of a voluntarist, NAP-respecting society.
What if you have an agreement with your neighbor that if either knowingly steals the others vegetables, he is consenting to being hunted down and murdered. When your neighbor takes your cucumber, heās going to expect your āhitmanā to come after him.
Most of the people on here are FBI, CIA, & NSA employees.

Read on the definition of scarcity in austrian economics. Iām not being utilitarian.
But I see where youāre coming from and even putting semantics aside, it still doesnāt work.
Your hyperbole would better describe someone literally hacking a developerās laptop and siphoning unpublished code from there, when in fact they were downloading open source from GitHub.
Remember that these same principles also apply to movies, music, books etc.
The real hypocrisy here is that the state goes after individuals for downloading ācopyrighted filesā and donāt enforce their own made up rules when it comes to their close big tech friends.
Iām suddenly more interested in soccer and traveling š„µ

Very true thought.
But as a nostrich, I would argue there is more to it.
I would argue freedom starts in our mind. And freedom does not simply exist in every vacuum of authority I would argue.
I would suggest trying Bitcoin and Nostr is more like to let go. To accept and understand, that some things inherently are out of control.
I think our conservative part of the brain always needs control in order to feel save. This is fine as long as we request control over things we influence.
But probably most people sometimes think to want to have control over things outside their reach. Like to lower all risks on horrible terror attacks.
Everyone can understand the intention to want this security. But every reasonable mind understands, that terrerists willmalways find ways to be destructives and we can simply not do anything to prevent them. We can only make sure that they meet the consequences for their actions.
And as hard as it is. Sometimes we need to accept, that there is no 100% security. No matter how much we want it.
And I think open protocols help to understand this. And offer a solution through freedom. They showcase, that most people act nonviolent. And when no one is forced to follow accounts that post disgusting stuff. When no economic incentives are there, free choice can really heal our societies mistakes.
We do not need more control. We need more trust. And let things flow, where we have no influence. And on the other side we need to influence more on things we actually have some influence.

So if wooden crates are not scarce, and you come into my house and take mine without permission then it is just?
Very utilitarian of you.
They'll never get it. The beauty of it.
That would be a great feature tbh.
It's one of the bad things about Amethyst tbh. Word mutes should only apply to notes.

Hail, a Tornado Warning, and I need to get to the hospital for a sick call. Wonderful.
It is possible to add, Iāll put it in our backlog. Also, what Will suggests, copy the text and paste it in the reply and then grab the URL from there. Iāve been doing it myself š
āCodeā is just a file in a computer, just like music, photos etc. copying it does not damage or erase the original, so it fits more the definition of an idea than property. If it can be perfectly replicated itās not scarce, and property exists to deal with scarcity only, not convenience or other arbitrary cases.
This is one of the reasons why Bitcoin is a big deal, digital scarcity was basically nonexistent before blockchains.

Yes one can do this. But actually no one profits from it really. I mean yeah, when one zaps some thousands, one can might buy a coffee out of it.
But nostr is small. Other users will profit more from a meaningful comment, a reference or a reaction.
Bringing meaningful interaction to nostr will help more than playing around with some meaningless grains of money.
I am getting a "(intermediate value).getPublicKey is not a function" in the PWA :(

Ok so that means I can try it in my profile again
