It played a role for me, although I’m not exactly sure how significant that role was. There were many instances where it likely impacted me, so it would take forever to recount them all.
I think the main aspect that stands out is the truth-seeking mindset and subsequently finding some truth and seeing the world for what it is.
Also, viewing Christianity through a lens of source code and various forks and implementation may have helped. I happened to convert a coworker to a Bitcoiner, whilst he shared the Word with me, and he made the comparison of Christianity and Bitcoin.
I was raised by lukewarm Catholics, but only after I deeply understood Bitcoin was I truly born again (not to say that understanding Bitcoin was a pre-requisite).
