Small business makes a town the place you like to live. It the spots that you enjoy, the places that you show others, that business that makes walking downtown worth it. Someone has to own that property and make it attractive to me to feel confident in investing my time.
Developers get a bad wrap but the are just higher up on the capital food chain. He showed me how to pull money out of a hat by signing a few pieces of paper. Amazing what the rich know that you don't know.
Anyway, after having his ac units stolen for the nth time he might be reconsidering his capital and purpose. If no one appreciates you building the citadels and just trash them then these people will Galt's Gulch their money and our towns will die a faster death.
