The world is full of this crap (i mean "friction" in general), everywhere. The point is that either we got used to it so don't notice it when we jump through now familiar hoops, or we suffer it because it is just the way things are.
But hey, Nostr does not have (fundamentally impossible) key rotation, you can't edit posts and deletion is not a guaranteed 100% sure thing (also fundamentally impossible), and managing keys is hard or something so it will never work.

It’s not terrible, it’s more or less the same transactional visibility an LSP has. There is no external privacy leak like the kind that Wallet of Satoshi had (and has since fixed).
The dreaded day came - my wallet is drained again. It's like 10-15 minutes to do all the logins, 2FAs, and sats shuffling. But feels like hours. #drained and #draining
Bought a fly-eater plant that the seller at the booth swore by for killing fruit flies. Never worked. Now after vacation, a bunch of potatoes spoiled in the pantry and the ceiling was flooded with fruit flies. The plant? Dead in the corner.
If it had worked before, I'd say too much happiness can kill you, but being as it is, let's just say I'm obviously not a good plant keeper.

Ah, sorry I missed this one when you posted it. I think this is an awesome Nostr use case. If you’re charging for the service, you might want to consider running your own relay to provide data storage and increased reliability. The trick is making the UX really solid and also overcoming the onboarding challenges. Coincidentally, all things I’ve been working on lately!

Meh, i don't mind the notion of digital gold tbh. I mean, the devil is in the details as to what you percieve the 'digital' part to imply/entail. As wel as how you interpret 'gold' for that matter. For instance, here is a 1890's perspective on the matter.
