I don't know what percentage of what goes where necessarily but I do know that we're huge on corporate subsidiaries and also infinite money to defense contractors. But, I can confidently state that "the right" (generally accepted understanding) is just as motivated to censor sociopolitical speech and content as "the left" is. And, to do so with disingenuous arguments or appeals to get it done.
- Banning or censoring anything is banning and censorship regardless if it's voted on or shilled through. I don't really see much of a distinction. I'm also not opposed to censorship and think censorship is not inherently a bad thing/some things *ought* be banned/censored.

I think this is incredibly fucked up, and I'm well-aware of the existence of the monkey torture videos online. I didn't know that it was Westerners paying third worlders money to do it for entertainment. I thought it was that these monkeys were considered nuisances or pests by the residents of these third world countries and therefore they were attacking these monkeys. These are terrible features which cannot exist within the Fediverse as, in typical Mastodon fashion, Mastotards do not comprehend that they cannot dictate behavior to other servers and other software. It wouldn't be up to Mastodon either, it'd have to be an AP spec, and it'd have to be a spec adopted by various instance softwares (or optional).

You could just go sky-diving and experience that rush without the dying part.
Also, I've thought about how if you wanted to really cover up a murder and get rid of a body you could just dismember a body into parts and fly over national forest and ocean dumping parts of the body out over the wilderness and sea with each part separated by hundreds of miles. You'd never find anything, wildlife would consume the flesh, and even if you found a part you'd never find the other parts.

I am not wholly opposed to the concept of UBI. It's not only for the benefit of layabouts nor societal burdens. We could eliminate a vast quantity of entitlements and roll everything into a flat UBI, ergo it would be a lot more equitable than the current system (which does, actually, encourage deadbeat-ism and degeneracy via the criteria for receiving benefits). Theoretically, it would be economically beneficial as it'd provide capital to consumers by which they could participate in the economy (buying things, increasing business, increase business growth, et al..)---people not having money is economically tragic for capitalist system (in theory) because it means reduced economic activity, shrinkage of the economy, layoffs, etc.. YouTube now has ads on the site, ads throughout the videos (and always at the beginning of videos), and, insult to injury, the video creators usually put a paid sponsorship ad inside the video itself as well. We are *bombarded* with advertisements---not just on YouTube, but everywhere. Advertising and marketing is a form of pollution and harassment which we don't consent to and it's forced upon us without reprieve at every step throughout our lives.
