a change made request made by me, had to route to my manager, director, CISO, legal, head of infrastructure, the business contact, and GRC before being implemented. It’s all people. All the time.
And this is fundamentally, why I enjoy being at a startup more. It’s way easier to get this stuff done. There’s still buy in, but it doesn’t take a month to get it.

I’m on team delete Facebook. If you can find an automated tool to delete your old posts, go for it. I’m sure there’s an archive already on it so no need to hand-delete. Given their history, I’m willing to bet they short of a GDPR (or any other region which enforces a right to be forgotten) they’ll probably archive it and you’ll have to wait till it ages out.
