Kleine Korrektur: Du deaktivierst IPv6 damit nicht, sondern erlaubst zusätzlich auch wieder IPv4. IPv6 funktioniert somit weiterhin (so wie es heutzutage sein sollte), sofern es das ausländische Netz unterstützt.

I‘m happy to report that a PS5 does download its gigantic games from the PlayStation Store via #IPv6. The same can‘t be said for the Nintendo Switch 2 and its store unfortunately. At least the OS now supports IPv6, so Nintendo‘s infrastructure seems to be the problem here.

Well I could swear the IPv6 share was significantly lower in previous years, but maybe I‘m mistaken. My thought was that wireless devices (with support for IPv6-mostly) at the congress now never fallback to IPv4 for whatever reason (Happy Eyeballs, slow DNS responses for IPv6, …), because there’s simply no IPv4 anymore, and that‘s why IPv6‘s share is significantly higher now. Just my attempt of explaining it.

Outbound requests via IPv6 work now? That‘s some progress at least. Does it prefer IPv6 if the hostname resolves to both IPv6 and IPv4?

War das mal vereinigt auf macOS? Bin so daran gewöhnt, dass ich ausschließlich ping6 nutze und es daher nicht gemerkt hätte.

So ist es. Bei mydealz findet man auch schnell Werber, sodass die ersten 0,25 % kein Problem darstellen sollten. Ich kann ansonsten bisher aus eigener Erfahrung nur Positives berichten.

@npub1l8t…mz8s Hast du eine Ahnung, wie man Androids in einer IPv6-only-Umgebung zufriedenstellen kann? Die Geräte bleiben bei "Obtaining address" hängen trotz NAT64/DNS64. Geräte mit anderem OS haben kein Problem. RFC 8925 kommt hier leider noch nicht zum Einsatz. Würde das helfen? #ipv6

Stimmt, eine kurze Google-Suche lieferte mir auch gerade ein Ergebnis, Stichwort AllowedProtocolMaskInRoaming. Könnte man von Hand in die mobileconfig Datei einfügen. Bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass ich auch das letztes Jahr erfolglos im Urlaub versucht hatte. In meiner Verzweiflung habe ich dann den bekannten Thread im Telekom-Forum eröffnet.

So sehen die Optionen für die APN im Configurator aus. Leider gibt es keine Optionen für Roaming. Vielleicht gibt es undokumentierte Optionen, die man manuell in die mobileconfig Datei einfügen kann. Sind mir jedoch nicht bekannt.

Oh! Es gibt den Configurator wohl nun auch für iOS. Das wusste ich nicht. Scheint aber wohl nur in Verbindung mit einem MDM Server zu gehen. Daher der Login. Die Mac Variante kannst du auch komplett ohne MDM Server verwenden. Entweder du verwaltest die Geräte per USB-Kabel oder du erstellst mobileconfig Dateien, die du auf beliebigen Geräten (Mac, iPhone, iPad, ...) installieren kannst.

Der Apple Configurator ist eine App für macOS. Wo du da einen Login siehst, ist mir nicht ganz klar. Im App Store beim Runterladen des Configurators?
