At work we use:
- A web browser, a web app
- MS Teams, a web app embedded in electron
- Outlook, also a web app, electron
- VS Code, again a web app.
I sure am a web developer, but we are almost in #JavaScript OS.
And of course there is AI in all of them.

They only act as control gate to confirm whether the software passes acceptance criteria or not. And sometimes report other issues they might encounter if we break something else. Perhaps replaceable with a test robot.

My company and circle of partner companies and client make no difference between Tester and QA.
In other domains those two completely different department. QA for quality assurance, and QC for quality control. Testers are in QC as they only control the quality of the product based on guidelines defined by QA. Our testers never do QA, they never question if the process is efficient or not. In fac5, they have no say in the actual quality standards.

@nprofile…jr2s packages are generally meant to be "packaged" that could mean to compile what needs to be compiled, otherwise, you will live in dependency hell. for example, older version of gulp/sass are extremely hard to install nowadays just because they need to be built from scratch.

In age of LLMs and AI the most valuable skill we should learn is how to be a Tech Lead.
So you just have a bunch of agents, you set up the framework for them and unblock them when they get struck. You also need to 3explain to them what they should do and what they shouldn't do.

Trying to run deepseek-r1 locally on my laptop just confirms to me that a LLM or AI companies are operating at a loss.
Writing a simple hello world program takes more than 5min. and eats 90% of RAM. and chockes all CPU at about 90% or more.
It runs on my laptop with
16.0 GiB RAM
Core i5-8265U × 8
Intel UHD Graphics 620 (WHL GT2)

هنالك أيضا أناس يظنون ان كوكل هو الانترنت. تقول له ما المتصف الذي تستعمل فلا يستطيع اجابتك.
هذا حال معضم الناس.
اما الناس التي تعرف هذه الشركات و منتجاتها فجزء كبير منها لاعرف أن هنالك منتوجات منافسة لها. أو يعتقد أن المنافسة ليست جاهز للإستخدام اليومي.
هذه فقط بعض الأسباب التي تجعل المرء يسخدم كل ما ذكرت ولا زالت اسباب اخرى مثل عدم الاكتراث او جهل عن خطورة الموضوع.

With Tokio Postgress it is easier: sur we get to write our own migrations and junction tablles, but we only do it with SQL.
No need for a ton of dependencies.
Just use your SQL knowledge
Easy to work with complex, multiple and chained relations ships: you just do as much LEFT JOINS as you want.
The casting for the Row result to your business models is easier.
3x more performance over SeaORM in most cases in my project.

Here I see that SeaORM is just some added burden. I see no benefit in using it for my project.
You need to learn their API (DSL) to query the database.
It names its stuff "entities" and "models" and you have to come up with another name for your business models.
Extremely difficult to work with relation ships. Even harder if you models have multiple or chained relation ships.

After testing both SeaORM & Tokio Postgres:
With both, you still need to manually write
- junction table
- migrations
- mappings to your useful or complex types/structs.
So basicaly you just get almost raw result from a database that is a SQL table representation that you transform to you business models.
