Every chipset needs its own special drivers, which means you can't make a universal version to run on most devices. On top of Graphene being very strict on hardware feature requirement, which was part of why Pixels were the only supported phones until now

@nprofile…8d0p really hope this comes to the budget devices. Motorola is basically the only phomes left that you can get with a headphone jack and SD card slot. Still use a Moto G Stylus instead of a Galaxy Ultra specifically for the headphone jack

@nprofile…2lm2 If you use an emulator to upscale the 3D models in SM64DS I think it actually looks better visually. Maybe not gameplay, but mapping the touch screen to a controller stick gets petty good 3D camera controls

@nprofile…8dzz I say its worth it. Plutomium is half the cost of Nitro (which I never used to begin with) and it helps support a fully open alternative which is desperately needed. Sure it's annoying to have things paywalled, but since self hosting bypasses it which also help reduce server costs I'm happy to drop $5 for it.

I've follwed Matrix for over half a decade now and have not seen a single improvment for communuty managment, and at this point I've given up on it ever becoming viable. I think new things like #Fluxer are much more likely to become a Discord replacement. Its still early days but it's open source and self hostable, amd works almost 1:1 with how Discord works even down to APIs

Let me preface this by saying that @nprofile…p3jt is my friend, has been my friend, and will continue to be my friend. I will still be on his podcast, I'll still be in his streams, and all that.
This dude is exactly what we should want people online to be like. He did stupid edgy stuff in the past out of ignorance, met people that showed how that wasn't OK, *and then learned and grew from it!*
You can expect better from people, but you have to let them grow. If all we do is shit on people for past mistakes, they'll never grow to be better because why bother when all that's gonna happen is this on instance will be brought up endlessly and be ridiculed for it.
Past behavior is only a problem if it keeps being repeated. If someome was shitty in the past, but has stopped being shitty, don't remind them they fucked up. Congratulate them on learning to be better. Encourage them to keep growing as a person.
Brodie, you are doing great. You have the bravery to face opposition head on and stick to your guns, rather than shy away from it. That's commendable and more than I could do.

A Vtuber on Twitter swapped back to Windows from Bazzite because they said it wasn't usable for vtubing. Most of there issues stem from simply a lack of information though (and OBS Flatpak not being able to use normal plugins by default).

Having watch faces be directly coded into the firmware has to be one of the dumbest things about the #PineTime watch. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea?? You shouldn't have to recompile the entire firmware just to change the background image!
Also there is no way to do ANY customization at all without editing the source code directly amd recompiling it. WHY??
