@npub18xy…c6yw No? You can call your sexuality or whatever, whatever you like, but no one gives a fuck what you think of what you're doing. One man's consensus is another man's judgement of wealthy Greek culture.

2023-09-03 21:40:14 UTC

Seems like a distinction without a difference, to me. There are plenty of men who are married to women, who have sex with men in secret; there are plenty that make no secret of it. Culture would say they're straight; none of it is based in anything grounded.

From the code itself; it uses clip-interrogator to reverse engineer a prompt from an image, and then semantically evaluates that prompt to identify any matching terms for underage -- "tween", "preteen", "child", "toddler", etc. -- as well as terms for lewdness. But it's written to catch lolicon too, yet shotacon is a control variable? What else is it going to catch; legal pornography?

2023-08-31 12:31:13 UTC

Okay, so here's a problem I see with any script that advertises itself as a CSAM checker: how the hell do I verify it does what it says on the tin without possessing said material? I don't, I am left to only trust the engineer who had an idea that sounded good.
But the Tacoma Narrows Bridge was an idea that sounded good too.

I like when a local pizza place has a website from which you can order online. If I have to use Seamless or Grubhub or Google, I am displeased.
I am still a bit displeased if I have to use Shopify but I interact with people who work at Shopify on a regular-enough basis that I think I can actually consider parts of that company people.

@npub13xh…9x2y @npub1lnz…k8dk This is one of the reasons I want to demystify AI: neither does ChatGPT. It only has perfect recall of the data on which it was trained, in the shape it decided upon at the end of training iterations. In order for AI to have access to information, it must be provided that information as part of its prompt, or as an embedding which is just a pre-vectorized string. It takes a fuckton of real work to get to the point where an LLM can remember accurately and not hallucinate.

2023-08-19 02:25:08 UTC

the opinion part (to not flood the fucking channel there), comes in around what reaching a critical mass, of sorts, will do for networks like ipfs and urbit, and likewise what low-maintenance hardware and primary communications paths will do for rns. I get the impression we're getting there with ipfs, but we're not there quiiite yet. But once we're past a threshold of nodes stability to the network will become more assured, and less subject to the problem of network blind spots over time.
