I've had a similar discussion with my local MP and at pains to point out that even if there is law breaking this is not the same as terrorism. We can agree or disagree on direct action and legality without the huge escalation of naming the activity/organisation as terrorist

Meanwhile on BBC News we have fully undisclosed talking heads from right wing think tanks and pro-Israel groups yacking away - without challenge or qualification regarding who they speak for - any time the BBC wants commentary on economics or Palestine. The double standards and class interests are shocking

So fucking tired and angry with BBC and Labour Party bullshit about Palestine, and everything else too
Today's report critcizes the production company for not "disclosing" that the 13 year old narrator was the son of a "Hamas official", while acknowledging that not one word of what the child said was influenced by this relationship.
Labour Oberlieutenant Lisa Nandy refers to this as "a serious of catastrophic failures"

I'm not arguing AGAINST democracy, I'm saying that unless we start to deliver real democracy, freedom, equality and justice to the 99% then we will have fascism.
What we have called democracy over the last half century has been steadily undermined by the raw power of the 1%,. So yes we should all vote and fight fascists electorially, but we must also seek to remove the power, wealth and privilege of the 1% to undermine and co-opt fair society.

We have seen the moderate gains of the post war era rolled back, while the nation state, governments, trade unions, elections, political parties have all been smashed or co-opted to support the rich at all costs, while the planet has been sacrificed on their altar
The illusion of democracy being effective, fair and remotely in our favour, is gone. The rich will defend themselves with force now. Fascism

because liberal democracies have utterly failed, having nominally governed vast inequality, climate catastrophe and now open support for genocide. We hear cries to support democracy and the rule of law at a time when democracy fails us all and there is no law for the rich and powerful.
The rich and powerful fear that liberal democracy will no longer suffice to legitimate their wealth and power, and thus we are at the door of force, authority and raw power to defend their position
