I expect a god damn Brood War.
I expect alliances to be forged and for friendships to falter in these comments.
PLEASE boost for visibility.

I was a bit bummed about Nekoweb not supporting http, and thus not supporting retro browsers. So I made a little version of my website on Oldcities web 1.0 that is accessible with retro browsers! check it out!

Everyone's going to keep complaining about discord but no one is going to stop using it because nothing exists that could take it's place, nothing is even close, and to delete discord is to forfeit your online social life. This is why we should have had alternatives to discord like a decade ago.

In like 2009 I was on Xbox Live with one of my friends and for whatever reason (big boulder) we were both trying to sing the Indiana Jones theme but neither of us could remember it. We ended up looking it up and then sang it together or whatever
The next day we were playing the same game and the same thing came up and we both forgot it again
As as I'm typing this right fucking now, I could not sing the Indiana Jones theme to you

Of course it's always been crazy but I had my breakthrough moment were I just laughed my ass off when I was playing during the DBZ event. There was this world where you could watch the latest DBZ movie in a lobby with other players and I had a moment of clarity where I realized that I (an anime girl) was sitting down on a cloud and watching anime next to darth vader and spiderman and spiderman was riding around in the worthog from Halo

Without memes I will tell you what Fortnite is.
Most famously: It's a Battle Royal game. There are various modes of BR you can play this is the most robust mode.
It's a Guitar Hero style game: Fortnite Festival is like Rockband or Guitar Hero. You play as the characters from BR and it's got licensed music (actually good selection too)
It's a Racing game: made by the rocket league team called Rocket Racing. This one is not that good imo.
It's a minecraft survival style game: Fortnite Lego is pretty fun and they have lego versions of every character in Fortnite even the licensed ones
They also have Fortnite CS:GO but I don't think that took off as much
It's a game platform like Roblox where users can make their own games too

The year is 2032.
You have to buy shitcoins for every online retailer now.
Anything not approved by Mastercard or Visa's Moral Committee is only possible to view on the dark web. (domain purchases are blacklisted if the domain hosts something against the moral committee's wishes)
Food products and electronics now have to be "Visa Certified"
A rep from Visa or Mastercard has to inspect every product and ensure that it doesn't contain any dissenting opinions or other thought crimes. Only then can it be Visa or Mastercard Certified and you may purchase it with your money.

Also no one wants to pay for ANYTHING
Asking for money for free software is a huge taboo for some reason and anyone who does it gets shit on, so obviously no money goes towards the projects, so obviously they are far behind paid options offered on MacOS or whatever

Remember Pebble?
The beloved smart watch that people adored in the mid 2010s
But then Apple Watch came out and totally killed it?
THEY ARE BRINGING IT BACK
https://repebble.com
At the end of the page it asks if you are interested in a new Pebble. If you click "no" it takes you to apple.com/watch/
lol. already have high hopes for this project.
