ich hoffe so sehr, dass eine kurz vor der Pensionierung stehende Ordinariusa das - notfalls bis zum BVerfG - durchficht. Schließlich beinhaltet die Wissenschaftsfreiheit auch die Lehrfreiheit. Letztere kann zwar selbstverwaltet durch Curricula eingeschränkt werden, nach meinem naiven Verständnis aber nicht ohne weiteres durch die Staatsregierung und schon gar nicht in Bezug auf didaktische Methoden. @npub13qu…54qy

"Thinking" LLMs do not think, but produce tokens that we interpret as the result of a thought process. In the same vein, LLMs can't "score" their own output. They could only simulate "confidence" (which, my intuition tells me quite confidently, is an emotion anyway. LLMs don't have emotions, but produce tokens that we interpret as expressing emotions.)

this is not catalogued as a book (in fact, we can't even see from the metadata whether it's a book or mss). It is part of an archival unit dealing with matters of the *chair* of forest economics at Freiburg university. You probably can't convince the university archive that their system of ordering files should be changed. 1/

nur um Missverständnissen vorzubeugen: meine Anmerkung war nicht als Kritik an der Arbeit konkreter Personen intendiert, sondern als Anregung, vielleicht einmal Prozesse zu überdenken: eine der Support-Personen im technischen Bereich könnte z. B. Zugriff auf den Account für solche Notfälle erhalten. Warnungen auf Mastodon würden ja reichen. ;) Manchmal dauern Ausfälle ja auch länger als ein paar Stunden und Teile der DDB-Zielgruppe arbeiten eben auch am Wochenende. @npub1877…fdvv

Tipp für die @npub14n9…dnpu social media sind ein guter Ort, um Wartungsfenster und unvorhergesehene Störungen zu kommunizieren. V. a. wenn das gesamte eigene Angebot sonst nicht erreichbar ist.

auch in der modernen Massenuniversität gibt es für Lehrende berufsethisch die Pflicht zu "pastoral care". In diesem Zusammenhang darf ich darauf hinweisen, dass anderswo auch studentische Abschlussarbeiten auf später dann verbotene Themen durchsucht worden sind. Zum Beispiel.

Universitäten sind Behörden, dienstliche E-Mails unterliegen u. U. einem Informationsfreiheitsgesetz, und wer sagt, dass in 5 Jahren juristische Petitessen wie Datenschutz noch eine Rolle spielen?
