For the past almost a year, I’ve been building a fully working, 1:1 scale Tune Thumper Bike from Mario Kart World!
Full build video: https://youtu.be/vbM31wagyRg
The bike is fully functional. The cassette tape door is also a Nintendo switch 2 dock, so when you put the switch in and plug in hdmi to tv, it outputs without any other power source needed.
Specs:
~65mph stop speed
~70lb
Fully functioning buttons, speakers, lights, antenna, nintendo switch 2 dock
wood, aluminum,and a ton of 3d printing

bleh I just woke up wasn’t really being clear. I meant to say the chrome number might look large but it might not actually all be chrome per se. but yeah the safari/webkit numbers are distressingly low 🥲

Personally I use Arc but it identifies as Chrome. So do other WebKit based browsers so… maybe it’s that?

I’m making a trip to Taiwan and China. Anybody in the states want me to buy Asia only stuff for them or electronics or nice cables? I’m bringing my cable testers along of course
Offer available only for my mastodon peeps
Buying stuff for people helps me discover new things and give me purpose lol

It’s a 24/7 stream machine that’s always encoding in 4k and streaming to YouTube. But the room itself is hot cause of all the other machines in there and has no airflow

M4 Mac Minis need a bit of cooling too sometimes
Probably the most cursed thing I’ve built but 100+ degrees celcius 24/7 for weeks on end was probably not healthy for it. Now it’s sitting at 60-70s

Anybody looking for a place to live in San Francisco with a pretty cool and upbeat roommate? Decently sized 2bd 2bath on 8th and Folsom (soma) close to muni, offices, and the mission. $2162 + utilities.
Would prefer somebody who can move in sooner rather than later.
RT for visibility please 🙏

INCREDIBLY excited to announce this: I collaborated with the Internet Archive to make a new 24/7 lofi livestream!
By day, you can see scanners scanning and what they're scanning, and when they're not scanning, you will see public domain silent movies and pictures. Sorta like an Internet Archive TV
